It might be possible to run an old 2.0.33 Kernel from the uClinux project as explained here: http://thierry.fedorawiez.free.fr/st/lin68k.html. Trying this on the hatari emulator and on a real STE with 4 MB ram, it loads the kernel but crashes while reading the boot ramdisk.
